Somedays just call for it. Cloudy days in December are one of them. They call for romance, for moody images, and for classic weddings with a black, white, and red pallette. And that is exactly what Morgan & Perry dreamed of when they planned their destination winter wedding.
The day began with meeting Perry for the first time. Even though we had spoke over the phone a couple of times, it is always exciting to meet face to face. We entered his hotel suite to find that Perry is a debonaire man. Perry is a man who, from the outside, might intimidate you with his Italian leather shoes, dapper details, and love for fine whiskey… but the moment that you meet him, his genuine appreciation for others and warm personality melt any morsel of intimidation away.
As much as I adore my grooms and getting to see them first on a wedding day, my heart lies in the details of lace and florals, diamonds and smiles, laughter and excitement. My heart lies with shooting bridal details, so as soon as I leave the groom’s room, I know that I am heading towards everything that I love. Which, in this case, was Morgan.
Morgan is a beautiful woman, who just like Perry, I didn’t know very well before the wedding. It did not take long; however, to understand exactly why Perry and Morgan fit together. Morgan and Perry are opposites when it comes to their position on Italian leather shoes and designer cufflinks as Morgan chose to wear only a dainty diamond bracelet and her engagement ring to accompany her mother’s old wedding dress, but Morgan and Perry’s hearts are the same. We were welcomed into the suite lovingly and with warmth. Morgan’s smile permeated across the room, and was contagious to all who witnessed her joy that afteroon.
Morgan, when I took this photo below, I gasped. I showed it to you immediately on the back of my camera screen, and I knew that it was a moment. It was a moment on your wedding day when your ear to ear smile faded for a half second. When I asked for you to give me nothing but your beautiful eyes, and you did… and just like that, I saw a different person. A person who was happy to be marrying the man of her dreams, but serious about taking on such a huge commitment in your life.

Floral Couture was on hand to make sure that the beautiful winter white blooms were on point, and Michelle also created a magical ballroom inside the Red Rock Casino after the ceremony was moved indoors at the last minute.
