The Internet.  For those of us who are old enough to remember life without the Internet… it is crazy to imagine the reach, power, and amazing possibilities that this world wide web has provided.  For Nancy and Paul, it has been everything.  Nancy met Paul when she was four years old.  Yes, four years old.  Their families were friends, thus, Paul was naturally a built in play date even though he was a few years older.

Eventually, their families moved away, as families often do… and several years had passed since the last time that Nancy had seen Paul.  Fourteen years, to be exact.  It was, of course, the Internet that led them back to one another.  Nancy came across Paul’s brother’s page while looking through relatives that were connected through her Aunt’s page.  Yes, that gets a little bit confusing… but to put it plainly… the Internet connects people.

So after not seeing one another for fourteen years, they began chatting.  Which led to video calls.  Which led to them ‘meeting’ one another in Lebanon several months later.  After meeting one another, as their adults selves, it was obvious that they would begin dating.  But with Nancy living in Australia and Paul living in New York it makes for a very looooong distance relationship.

So for one quick weekend… well, it was supposed to be a weekend in January, but Boston had other plans for allowing them to leave the airport due to snow… so for one quick mid-week trip… Nancy, Paul, Nancy’s mother and Paul’s brother jetted down to Las Vegas to elope.  And elope they did… beautifully.

For now, Nancy is back in Australia with Paul in New York, but the Internet connects them.  Exactly the same way that it brought them together in the first place.

Nancy & Paul chose to get ready and take their bride and groom photos at Trump International, and the gorgeous florals were created by the amazing Catherine of Layers of Lovely.

So, Nancy claims that she is non-photogenic.  Sorry, Nance.  I proved your beautiful self wrong.  {winks}

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Azoury!  I wish you nothing but love and laughter for so many years to come… even if it is exchanged via the Internet for a little while longer.  I can’t wait to see you again!  xo.
