When I arrived at Anthem Country Club, the property was already a buzz with excitement and bridesmaids. Bridesmaids who were scurrying from location to location. Setting all of the perfect details. It was a beautiful day for a wedding with a blue sky and a slight breeze. The families of the wedding party chatted merrily in the halls of the venue, and laughed easily with one another.
The bride, along with her incredibly talented family, created almost every detail that went into this wedding. All the way down to the stationary and jewelry. But, that doesn’t surprise me much because Gwen is simply amazing at everything she does… and turns almost everything she touches into gold. Which, I’m sure, is one of the many amazing traits that attracted Stefan to her in the first place.
Gwen and Stefan met several years ago when they bumped into each other accidentally in Key West. For several years they corresponded and dated long distance… and as Ellie, Gwen’s sister, toasted at the reception… their marriage is the result of the power of a love letter.
Gwen’s sister not only gave a beautiful speech at the reception (as did several other members of the couples’ family), but she also created the invitation suite for the wedding.
Gwen handmade her jewelry along with all of the bridesmaids’ jewels as well. Such an amazing and talented group of people!!
Gwen’s mother is an avid gardner, thus, Gwen grew up around gorgeous flowers. Her family is apparently full of green thumbs as they all worked incredibly hard on the GORGEOUS flowers that accented Gwen and Stefan’s wedding so beautifully! Gwen’s beautiful hair and makeup was knocked out by the team from Amelia C. & Co.
Gwen and Stefan decided upon a first look which made the photo timeline flow so smoothly…. Gwen also chose to have her father walk her to the first look and give her away to Stefan. The resulting photos are some of my favorite of the day.
Angie from Peachy Keen Unions officiated the ceremony so eloquently. She helped the couple integrate their families into every aspect of the ceremony, including having the wedding rings warmed and blessed by the family members prior to placing them on the bride and groom’s fingers.
Maria and David at Anthem Country Club worked tirelessly to make sure that the day ran smoothly and that every detail was perfect. They were amazing to work with, and I can not wait to shoot there again!
Congratulations, Gwen & Stefan! I wish you nothing but love and happiness for all of the years to come!
