Well, hello gorgeous ladies on my blog today.  This is Rissa, Traci, Tara and Francesca.  You can call her Frannie.  She’ll cut you if you call her Fran though.  Okay, maybe just call her Francesca to be safe.

These beautiful ladies are the lovely and genius brains behind Scheme Events.  Scheme is a wedding design and coordination firm, and they will rock out your glitzed  and glammed ballroom event or your backyard rustic-romance affair.

A very large percentage of our couples come from out of town.  Out of state.  Out of country.  This is Las Vegas, we’re the wedding capital of the world.  Planning a destination wedding is definitely more difficult than planning a wedding in the city that you live, and it seems like a no-brainer to have a coordinator for a destination wedding, but I would like to take a quick moment to debunk a wives-tale about when you need a coordinator and when you don’t.

The answer is easy.  Always.   In town, out of town, a hundred guests or four hundred guests.  Hire a coordinator.

But not just ‘a’ coordinator.  Hire a good coordinator.  Because when you hire a coordinator you’re basically buying time, sanity, and the enjoyment of your wedding day.   If someone were to say to you… ‘I’m selling insurance for your wedding day… if you buy this insurance, then you’re going to enjoy your wedding day…” I’m pretty sure that you would buy the damn insurance.  Hiring the right coordinator is basically like buying insurance.

Okay, that was a huge statement.  Don’t get me wrong.  Coordinators still can’t control the weather, or your soon to be in-laws, or whether or not you’re hangry and getting all bridezill’s on everyone.  But what they can do is control the chaos, keep problems that arise away from the wedding party’s eyes and ears, troubleshoot before anyone even knows there is trouble, and keep your wedding day running smoothly.  And they do all of this without the need of your bridesmaids setting up reception decor while they’re still in their hot rollers and juicy sweats.

I was completely smitten and honored when Rissa asked if I’d be able to shoot their new head shots for their newly rebranded website, and when they showed up at my place with full hair and gorgeous faces by Amelia C. & Co…. I was on cloud nine!  But lezzz be real.  I was also nervous beyond belief.  When four girls have taken the time to get a full face of makeup and perfectly coiffed hair… figured out their wardrobe… and maybe even shaved their legs… there is no room for error, and no time for re-dos!

Tara, Rissa, and Traci are the owners of Scheme, and have worked together for several years.  They brought on Francesca a while back, and I don’t think that it was possible for another woman to slide into this mix of wonderful personalities more perfectly.

I had a blast shooting these ladies, and I am completely ecstatic when I’m setting out to shoot a wedding that they have blessed with their genius brains.  Our next wedding together is coming up this February (Hi Andrea!!)… and I can basically feel my shutter finger twitching to get my lens on some Scheme loveliness!!
